Kari Wuhrer, an American actor, is known as the star of the show on television "Sliders". As of 1999, the actress dropped her first studio album Shiny. Originally from Connecticut Wuhrer started singing when she was quite young, and was a regular performer at night clubs when she was still a teenager. At the age of 13 She began going to Wooster School of acting, where she studied and later enrolled at various schools to study acting. Wuhrer was first seen on screen in 1986 with the romantic-drama film 'Fire with fire. Five years later she made her debut as an actress on television in the role of Joanie. She has about 80 TV and film credits throughout the course of three decades in her career. While she has appeared in several mainstream films, she is widely regarded as a B-movie queen for several films with low budgets in her filmography. Wuhrer is also a former model, and a former MTV VJ.
